Dr. Torices received her Master degree in Oncology and Biomedicine in 2013 from the University of Oviedo (Spain). She pursued an integrated program completing her Ph.D degree in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine at the University of Cantabria (Spain). During her thesis research, she worked in the Department of Molecular Biology and the Department of Molecular Genetics in the Research Institute of Investigation Marqués de Valdecilla (Spain). Her thesis focused on identifying genetic variants associated with the susceptibility or prognosis of rheumatoid arthritis and the study of their functional consequences.
